As a music composer, he made his debut with the American movie ‘American Blend’ (2006). Again, he made his Bollywood debut as a music composer with the movie ‘Bad Luck Govind’ (2009). Abu and his brother Daboo Malik directed a local show titled “pankhida Aao Mhare Saath”.

In the year 2011, he opened a music company named “Musicman Malik Entertainment Private Limited”.  The company organized shows all around the world. Moreover, he has produced more than 10,000 shows around the world. Furthermore, he has sung in the advertisement songs for the Raymond textile company. The famous Bollywood hero, Sunny Deol is his childhood friend and has worked together in many films.

He is also a writer and wrote some books. Moreover, in 2017 he published his first book named “Ranting of a Mad Man”. Besides that, in 2019, he participated as a celebrity contestant in the Indian television reality show “Bigg Boss 13”.
