Brad Brownell is an American college basketball coach. Brad Brownell is the present head basketball coach at Clemson University.

Early Life

Brad Brownell was born on November 15, 1968. His full birth name is Bradley Robert Brownell. Presently, he is 53 years old and his sun sign is Scorpio. He is originally from Evansville, Indiana, USA. His father’s name is Robert Brownell whereas her mother’s name is Genevieve Brownell.

Career

Immediately upon graduation, he went into coaching and joined Evansville as an assistant. And, in the following year in 1992, he held the same role at Indianapolis until 1994 and then to UNC Wilmington. Similarly, in the year 2002, he was promoted to head coach at Wilmington where he served until 2006. earning 2 CAA regular seasons and 2 CAA Tournaments.

Then, Brad arrived at Wright State in the year 2006, Wright State, where he 2007 Horizon League regular season and Horizon League Tournament. Further, in the year 2010, he was hired as the head coach of Clemson. He held the same position at Wright State and UNC Wilmington prior to coming to Clemson. Brad is presently in his 12th season at Clemson.

Moreover, on July 19, 2018, it was announced that Brownell and Clemson had agreed to a 6-year, $15 million contract extension. Therefore, this extension will keep Brownell at the school through 2024. Likewise, he coached the Tigers to the program’s first road victory at UNC after 59 attempts on January 11, 2020. Further, the series between the two schools began in the tear 1926.

Brad is married for a long time now. Therefore, he tied the knot with his wife Paula who he met around the time he transferred to DePauw University. However, the beautiful couple is blessed with two daughters namely Abby and Kate. Nothing more about his personal life is known to the world.
