Professionally, Ekaterina Gordeeva is a famous figure skater. She gained fame alongside her late husband, Sergei Grinkov when they won the 1988 and 1994 Olympic Championship. Together, the former couple also became the four-time World Champion in 1986, 1987, 1989, and 1990 respectively – all in pair skating. After her late husband’s tragic demise, this figure skater continued to perform as a singles skater.

Besides being a figure skater, she is also a writer. She has penned My Sergei: A Love Story along with Sports Illustrated writer E. M. Swift. Ekaterina Gordeeva is a married woman. Her husband is David Pelletier who is also a pairs figure skater from Canada. The pair tied the knot on 25 July 2020 and now lives in Alberta, Canada.

Prior to this, she was married to figure skater Ilia Kulik from 10 June 2002 to 2016. She shares a daughter named Elizaveta Ilinichna Kulik with Ilia. This was actually her 2nd marriage. Her first marriage was with Sergei Grinkov.
